yes, that is me powder skiing, BUT NOT TODAY (ie, not April 1). The date of this video is November of last season: ‘24/’25, when we had a record-breaking early opening due to epic snow. This season, ‘25/’26, we have had dismal snow and record breaking warm temps. Aspen Highlands closed early last Sunday. The closing date of Aspen Mt and Snowmass Mt are TBD.

ONE MONTH AIRPORT CLOSING: coming up this April 23, 2026 to May 21, 2026, for pavement work, plus weekend closures in September 2026 for ongoing modernization.

9 MONTH AIRPORT CLOSURE: next spring: March 2027 to October 2027: closing for 9 months in order to expand the runway width and start the terminal upgrade. The goal is to eliminate the annual spring closures in the future.
